Principal’s Welcome

Craig PetrieIt’s a great pleasure to welcome you to the East Glendalough School website. I hope that you will find it both useful and informative.

East Glendalough is a school with a tremendous sense of energy, vitality and community. Since my arrival, I’ve been encouraged by both how busy and how welcoming the school has been. Though it is a young school in Irish terms, it has become very well established in the years since 1987, and continues to provide a comprehensive and high-quality education to all of its students.

A Church of Ireland co-educational school, we have a strong Christian ethos, visible in the day-to-day life of the school and evident in the interactions between students, staff and parents.

The School’s primary activity is the pursuit of academic excellence, and each student is encouraged to achieve to the very limits of their ability. Accompanying this, the School also provides a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, all of which mean that the school stays alive and open long after the final bell, giving our students the opportunity to access and complete a well-rounded education.

The School boasts an impressive and growing range of facilities on an open and accessible campus in Wicklow Town. Please contact the Office if you would like to know more about East Glendalough School.
