Board of Management

The Board of Management of East Glendalough School is responsible for overseeing the running of the School. While the day-to-day management of the School falls to the Principal, the Board oversee issues relating to finance, policy, appointments, admissions and appeals.

The Board is responsible to the School’s Patron, the Archbishop of Dublin and Bishop of Glendalough, as well as to the Department of Education and Skills. The Board is made up of six nominees of the Patron, a nominee of Kildare-Wicklow ETB, two parents’ nominees and two teachers’ nominees. The Board generally meets monthly and though the agenda varies, the following issues are always discussed: child protection, bullying and finance.
