East Glendalough School

This year has been a great year for the archery club. It has been so popular with students that we had to split the club into Juniors and Seniors. We rotate between both groups, each having a slot every second Tuesday. We meet after school, and many students turn up to take lessons from Dr. “Robin hood” Cathcart with his fancy bow. The enjoyment we get from the sport has encouraged many of us to purchase our own bows and equipment. We are a very organised club - Dr Cathcart arranged personalised printed team hoodies for the members.

We feel confident enough now to start competing in inter-school competitions this Autumn, and hopefully we will be able to rise to the challenge.

All in all, this was a successful year for the Archery Club, and next year is set to be even better.
