Past Pupils

Remember the class of '09? In case we ever forget, Shona Fox made this video.....







This is what some of our past pupils are up to these days.

Ben Clifford
is currently in 2nd Year ‘Drama and Theatre Studies’, in Trinity College. He is also the current Chair of the largest society in Trinity, the D.U. Comedy Society, boasting 3,444 members. In August, Ben will be going over with a show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Will Hannigan is studying Music Management and Artistic Development in Buckingham University in the UK, and is in his second to last year.

Daniel Hayden travelled to the Ecuadorian cloud forest after leaving school and worked in bear conservation, sustainable agriculture, and the building of a botanical garden. The South American trip was the catalyst in following his current career path: Dan has just completed his first year in Agri-Environmental Science at UCD.

Louise Ireson is studying Finance at NUIMaynooth, but devotes much of her life to the Drama Society! She was awarded with the ‘One Act Redemption’ ‘Best Actress’ award by the NUIM Drama Soc

Danny Johnston is now a full time member of Dublin University Boat Club and studies Science in his spare time!

Hilary Johnson has just finished a degree in English and History at UCD, and is going on to do a Masters in Drama and Performance.

Lucy Kelly (neé Mullen) has graduated with a degree in Applied Theology. She has just completed the first level of an Advanced Graphic Design course, and is working as a Graphic Designer.

Joshua McKenna is working as an Advertising Executive after completing a Masters in Marketing Practice, and still shoots a few hoops whenever he can.

Sophie Mullen has just graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a BSc Psychology. She is living at home, however plans to move back to Belfast for another year or two shortly. When she is not in Belfast, she is a Print Designer with Ross Print Services.

Kieran Murphy is studying Science in Trinity College. “I’m going to Cairo in July to play in the U21’s golf croquet world champs and am involved in the triathlon club in Trinity”

Frederike Potz, after spending a term in 2005 in EGS, returned to her old school in Germany where she passed her Abitur (German Leaving Cert). She then moved to Sweden and worked as an aupair for 9 months and experienced a “wonderful, surprising and one-of-a-kind time there”. She now lives in the beautiful city of Cologne and is taking part in a pre-course in Medicine. She hope to be able to start full-time education in October, perhaps in UCD.

Rachel Sheil has finished her first year at the Irish World Academy of Voice and Dance in the University of Limerick; she won the Dance Club intervarsities in DCU, and is the Vice President of UL’s first Dance Club.

Rachel Smyth did two years of radiography in UCD, and then applied to study Medicine at Southampton Medical School. She’s finished her first year and loving it.

Erica Smyth is in her third year at St. Andrews University in Edinburgh, has been travelling a lot, and is considering postgraduate study in London.

Lucy Stringer is in first year in UCD, doing food and Agri-business Management.

Rowan Van Embden currently finishing up my degree in English, Media and Cultural Studies in Iadt Dun Laoghaire. He has also been spotted on the odd episode of The Tudors...

Ally Wood is doing a BSc in Health and Physical Activity at DkIT. She has loved every minute of it, and as of this summer is a qualified fitness intructor. “Funny how things work out, i couldnt have found a course better suited to me if i tried! I love DkIT, nice small classes, lecturers know us by name- makes it easy if we have any problems. It is the gem of the ITs!!”
